NOTES
1. A 12-a-side game.
The Erratics team in full: Andrews, Waller, Green, Davie, Dunabin, Rivington, Allan, Evans, Walker,
Brind, Heller, Middleton G.
2. A good performance in the field by the Erratics. Skipper James Rivingtons attempt to open up the
game by bringing on Michael Evans and Don Brind was thwarted when they snapped up five wickets between
them. Alex Goodman, who had been loaned to the opposition, was the last Imperial batsman to be out (for 10),
when he was bowled by Jamess only delivery of the day.
3. Although the Erratics had lost early wickets, James and Tim Allan steadied things, and when James hit his
second boundary the score was 71 for 5 within easy striking distance of victory.
James was caught by Alex next ball (71 for 6). Then in consecutive overs Tim was bowled (72 for 7) and the
rest gave catching practice Jeremy Walker (75 for 8), Michael (75 for 9), Don (79 for 10).
Richard Heller was last out, giving Alex a very satisfying second catch.
Shock, disbelief, humiliation.
