The Canbashers won the toss and elected to field.
After an iffy start, the Erratics were pretty pleased with their total, achieved on a damp slow outfield. Both teams were glad to come off for tea, as rain descended in the final overs.

Notes:
The weather improved during the break, and the Erratics soon wore sunny smiles as they made deep inroads into the Canbasher ranks. In fact, two of the wickets would have been boundaries if Richard Down hadn’t got in the way — at the expense of his spinning finger.
Then the rain started again, harder than before, and the ball quickly became a bar of soap. Richard D was unable to bowl, and to make matters worse the Erratics felt aggrieved about two unsuccessful stumping appeals which would have exposed the tail. The batting side wouldn’t have been surprised if we had come in out of the rain, but we stuck out their until the irritating No. 4 had knocked off the runs. Bugger.
