The Erratics arrived with eight players. The opposition fished Mark Fowler out of the pub to give the Erratics a ninth, and loaned them a sub fielder.

At tea, the Erratics regarded the target as gettable, and a solid start was made.

The shameful capitulation at the end, as the Erratics slid to defeat, was a fine example for the England football team, playing later that evening.
