| A wicket in the first over was encouraging, but the home batsmen
responded well against the opening attack of Michael Stephenson and debutant Tristan Pascoe. |
| Matthew Eltringham took four wickets in successive overs. James
Rivington usefully removed a big hitter before he got started. The next bat was a small boy; when James
tried to bowl a gentle lob, it floated embarrassingly wide; and when he fizzed the next one down and
flattened the stumps, he received abuse from his team mates you cant win. |
| The Erratics should have been able to take the last two wickets in
the twelve overs that remained. But the ninth wicket pair happily swatted away at whatever bowling
skipper Bill threw at them, and we had to make do with a draw. |
